I'm Rob Ainsley. I cycled the length of Taiwan with my chum Tim Burford in January 2017, from Fuguei at the northern tip to Eluanbi at the southern end.
Read about this, about my other international End to End rides, and about much more, at my new website e2e.bike.
Daily blog posts are here, from Fuguei on Day 1 to Eluanbi on Day 9.
Tim's blogs on the trip — amongst his many other travels — are on his site UnravelTravel.org. His photos from the trip are on Tim's Facebook photo album.
The End to End route was roughly 370 miles (see map on right — there's also a larger version) and took nine days of cycling.
We cycled about 550 miles in total, including city-based day-trips, while in Taiwan.
Our bikes were hired from Giant. We picked up in one of their stores in Taipei, and returned them to a branch in Kaohsiung.
There's a page on an external blog with information for anyone planning to cycle-tour here.
This trip was part of my long-term project of cycling international End to Ends:
